Order of Service

Blog

You know you’ve had a busy year when you see the number of Order of Service you have collected.

Whilst not every couple will have one, I’m often asked why I keep the Order of Service when I have all the beautiful photos from the many weddings that we at Yellow Door Photography shoot. The answer is simple “these are my memories of the day.”

Naturally I’ll keep the photos forever and love going through them from time to time. However to share in a couples most special moment, really does mean the world to me. So the order of service provides me with that special memory. I must confess that I cannot help but sing along with the congregation and join in the wedding hymns as many a guest will lay testament too.

I’ve had the privilege of photographing at some of the most intimate and the most grand of wedding venues, ranging from village halls to St Pauls Cathedral and The Royal Chapel.

However I never thought I would ever get the opportunity to share in a couples wedding at the iconic Westminster Abbey.

No matter what the size of the wedding or the wedding venue the part I enjoy photographing most is the couples first sighting of each other as their partner walks down the aisle!
